Details Details Close Description Charles Daidone marble sculpture pivots on steel rod attached to square laminate base. Dated 1976. This sculpture by the artist received awards at various art exhibitions. Sculptor Charles Daidone (1921-2009) spent most of his life working on aerospace projects, including the Space Shuttle for Kearfort- Singer. He worked there for 35 years, receiving many commendations for his work, including the Space Shuttle. Mr. Daidone was also a self taught artist. He was a member of the National Sculpture Society, Salmagundi Club, Knickerbocker Artists, Audubon Artists and New York Artists Equity Association.
