Details Details Close Description Sydney Beach Zester is an abstract artist based in Wilmington, NC. Using heirloom and vintage textiles, she explores concepts of duality: fast and slow, joy and sorrow, gusto and grief, run and recovery, giddy and grim. Sydney is constantly trying to strike a balance, through playful color and wonky shapes, that tugs those feelings out of the person viewing her work. Sydney began working with textiles over 20 years ago as she trained under a master seamstress. Her work has shown in Brooklyn, NY, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, GA, and Raleigh, NC.
