Details Details Close Description Makiko Azakami is a world famous Japanese artist specializing in cut paper sculptures and illustration. Her work has been shown at galleries in New York and Japan. Her first New York City show was entitled “Paper Toy.” It was held at the Illustration Gallery in the East Village. We purchased this original, signed artwork at this show. Subsequently, her work was documented in “The Great Paper Toy Show” published in 1993 by Chronicle Books.
