Details Details Close Description Signed lower right, “Keith Halonen” (American, b. 1946), dated 1969, and titled lower left, “Life Among the Clouds”. Richly patterned, ink figurative showing a man lounging on the floor of a smoke clouded interior and smoking a hookah while his mind expands and a woman stirs a pot on the stove. Keith Halonen began his formal art education at Saturday morning workshops at the Milwaukee Art Museum. During the late 1960s, he created highly-detailed, ink drawings for posters, and book and magazines, including Rolling Stone, as well as illustrations for school textbooks. He exhibited with success including at two one-man shows in San Francisco before moving into commercial graphic art. In the 1980’s, he rediscovered his love of fine art and returned to painting in oil.
