Frames are craftsman-built in America using cross-directional hardwood laminate certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Hardwood panels rest on wood braces attached to the frame’s side rails for reliable mattress support. Lightly tapered, solid, wood block feet enhance this collection’s transitional styling. Matching fabric welting enhances the distinctive lines of each silhouette. Frames are padded in dense, eco-friendly foam and poly-fiber wrapped in casings that maintain the padding’s shape. Storage beds feature a spacious hidden drawer that pulls out from the foot of each frame—perfect for keeping linens and blankets organized and out of sight. Storage beds are not available with 55″ or 70″ headboard heights. Bed frames include space to accommodate variances in mattress sizes and allow bedding to be tucked into frame. Storage bed frames are not compatible with motion bases. We recommend using our Retreat 4″ Platform with this bed. Twin storage bed drawers feature an interior cavity of 37″ w x 35″ d x 5.5″ h. Storage bed drawers have a maximum weight capacity of 50 lbs. Upholstered non-storage beds are offered in both tufted and non-tufted versions.
