The close focus is great for viewing at my yard feeders, that are too close for many binoculars. The long eye point helps with eyeglasses. They are lightweight and waterproof, and have excellent optics with accurate color transmission. My previous binoculars, by another maker, didn’t transmit reds well, so cardinals looked brown.
